  Everyone likes a doctor with a good bedside manner. That said, given the choice between having a really nice doctor who doesn’t know what he’s doing, I’ll take the jerk who cures me, any day. With Pasquale Reino, DO I got the best of both worlds. This gentleman spent a great deal of time discussing my shoulder pain, right in front of the fluoroscope (x-ray machine). Another doctor I had visited sent me to six weeks of physical therapy, which was useless. That doctor explained that I had a calcium deposit, and that somehow physical therapy would help, and that I would probably also need surgery. Not so. Dr. Reino showed me on the x-ray that there was almost no calcium and that the cause was most likely bursitis which is often (but sometimes not) cured with a steroid injection. He said that, if I insisted, he could try to remove that little bit of calcium that was there—but he did not recommend it. So, we agreed that he should inject me with a steroid. He did so while we both watched on the fluoroscope, and voila! I write this letter many months later without a single bit of pain. Cured! So, this nice doctor spent a lot of time with me with no rush, asking me questions, showing me x-rays, giving me choices, and explaining what was going on (bedside manner). And his work fixed me all up. I can’t say enough good about both the amount of time this doctor spent with me and the effectiveness of his treatment. Five stars! Greg Caminiti
